Year 5, Weeks 51 and 52: SIX years together!

Wrapping up year 6! I cannot believe we have been married 6 years now. It is a little wild! We are so thankful for these 6 years and have wrapped this year up with a ton of work stress! Whew! It has been a wild few weeks for both of us, but we will be getting through it here soon!

Week 51: July 1st - 7th

I went to work early and the kids spent time with Mom so I could get the pharmacy a head start, but I left at 9 once the pharmacy opened and went to grab them! We had crispy southwest wraps for lunch made into bowls. Supper at Mom and Dad's to catch up was a lot of fun. I got some stuff done at home, cleaned up the flowerbeds, did some ordering and finished some scheduling.

Tuesday was work, the kids were with Mom, everyone had a hard work day so Jonathan went to help milk when he was done and then they took the car in to the mechanic. We went to get it on Wednesday before going to my parents for a quick party! It was a lot of fun. We had NAET in the morning and got treated, just another step closer to feeling better.

Independence day was July 4th and I worked until two and Jonathan did some work on the mud kitchen while he hung out with the kids. I stopped and got us some lunch and then we had fried rice for supper. I had a lot of stuff to do at work and got that done, then we spent Friday at the hospital. I had a minor procedure done so I would feel better and then spent the rest of the day recovering and Jonathan got some work done, then we relaxed at home in the evening!

It was a slow weekend. The kids and I went and got some shopping done with Mom and Jonathan worked and mowed on Saturday, then we went to a fourth of July party in the evening! It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing friends. Church on Sunday, Jonathan had to work a little bit and then we went to visit family in the evening, which was good, then we brought the kids home and they went to sleep very well!

Week 52: July 8th - 14th

Monday and Tuesday were my long days, it was quite exhausting. The fam went swimming in the evening after Jonathan got back from South Central and the kids hung out with Pam in the morning. On Tuesday the kids stayed with Mom, then they came to visit me and got some shopping done for our trip!

Wednesday was an extremely massive day for me. Packing, green beans, cookies, pretzels, watermelon, laundry, thankfully Jonathan took Amelia and William to Yoder's quick to get my running done! We got everything set and ready to go in the car and then left for Tennessee on Thursday! It was a really great trip, the kids were fantastic. We didn't stop until lunch and then got supper once we got to TN. It was so fun to see Shem, Karah and Hazel. Amelia and William just adored her and of course we did too!

We spent Friday exploring the Old Mill area and at the playground. Let the kids play in the morning and then went to do some shopping. We enjoyed our time and then went home for naps! The kids napped great and we had fun hanging out as a family with some pizza in the evening!

Saturday we went to the aquarium with the kids. It seemed like a good idea, but apparently Amelia is terrified of sharks! Who knew? We got through it and we enjoyed it, she just struggled a little bit. In the evening we spent time with family again, played with Hazel and then headed home on Sunday, our SIXTH anniversary! Thankfully the kids did a great job on the way home as well. Not as much sleep as we wanted them to get, but they tried!

I'm just going to wrap up year 6 here and then we can start year 7 next time. It has been a lot of work here this month and wrapping this year up is all I have in me this week! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer! Love you all!

Love,

Jonathan, Allison, Amelia and Amelia
