Year 6, April: A Month of Variety

Here I am, super late, but here we are! I will probably keep it short and sweet because we have had a pretty relaxing month and we did that intentionally! It was a great month, beautiful weather, we tried to enjoy all of it!

Small group wrapped up with a party, which was great. We so loved our group of people. It was so much fun to study Worldview together and grow each other. After the party we left for a night away in Amish Country! We had a great time shopping and finding a few things to polish off our second floor - almost done with it! It is so close!

I did a lot of cooking this month to get things ready for the rest of the baby coming, plus we had a new nephew this month so we made a few things to take to them as well!

The next weekend was just so busy, we had so much fun, but it was crazy! We went to see Baby Brooks on Friday, had a party with friends in the evening on Saturday and then we went to visit family on Sunday. SO many good things, the kids were so tired...and so was I! We spent some time outside on Monday...we also had a hair appointment and it was terrible. Mama has officially tapped out of taking William to get his hair cut, officially Daddy's job now!

I got to take the kids to see friends we haven't seen in awhile, it was a great time. When we got home, we found out they were tearing our road apart...thankfully we could get home! But they took it from asphalt to dirt in a few short minutes. It was a wild day and it took all month to get it all fixed up, but we made it through the dirt road and how it's blacktop and people are FLYING down it!

William got sick and shared with Jonathan and I, it was not that fun. It was quite frustrating, but we got through it and Amelia seemed to miss it! Easter was a bit of a disappointment since we were all sick for that, but we made the most of it and had a great day together as a family! Everyone was feeling pretty well, but there were still signs of fever so we stayed away from other people to keep them from getting sick too!

At the end of the month we lost Grandpa Haas, which was expected and good for him, but sad for us. We had a lot of family time and took full advantage of that time. It was more of a celebration for him as he gets to be with Jesus now! There were a lot of things to explain to a four year old, but she seems to have taken it all really well!

Overall, it was a month full of a bunch of different things and we enjoyed the whole time. Getting to the end of this pregnancy has taken a toll, I have been super tired and needed a lot of naps, but we have made it through! I hope everyone is enjoying it being spring! We certainly have, it has been so great to get outside when we can!

Next month we will hopefully be introducing our new addition! Time certainly has flown, I can't believe April is over and we are in May! Enjoy the season.

Love,

Jonathan, Amelia, Amelia and William
