Well, hello! I hope everyone has been having a good beginning of fall. We have been loving it here! The kids have been snuggly and warm, we have gone on a ton of walks and enjoyed some good family time.
Week 11: September 23rd - 29th
Amelia has been loving going to gymnastics on Mondays, which has been a lot of fun. We got to facetime with Shem and Karah and we got a few things done around the house. Tuesday was a normal, we both worked, and then Wednesday I got new tires on my car, which was quite the relief! I missed having my car running on all fours! The kids and I went to the library, we had swedish meatballs for supper and enjoyed an evening as a family.
Thursday was a little busy. The kids got haircuts, we got cupcakes to take to Drug Mart for a birthday, stopped at Rae's to see what the plan was for my ring. We had chicken pot pie pasta for supper and then Jonathan went to band practice. I had a bit of a rough night, Amelia noticed and was just super sweet. She prayed for me and we wrapped the evening up really well!
On Friday evening we decided to go to Canton and get a few things done, plus we went out to eat with Jonathan's parents at Rockne's! We had a great day and got a bit of shopping done for the weekend. Dinner was delicious and I was relieved to get some shoes for the wedding. On Saturday we had French toast for breakfast and then Amelia and I went to a baby shower and the boys did some mowing! We had church on Sunday, I got a nap, Jonathan worked on the house then we had roast and mashed potatoes for supper. Mom and Dad came for a visit afterward and we had a lot of fun.
Week 12: September 30th - October 6th
I worked on Monday, so Jonathan took Amelia to gymnastics after work and I met them back at home! We got our laundry chute installed that day, which was great, but work was quite a lot of craziness. Both Monday and Tuesday were very stressful with our wholesaler not showing up, but we made the best of it and got a lot done!
Wednesday we had our first small group and it was a busy day! We had fiesta chicken for supper and I made cinnamon rolls for the evening and the rest of the weekend since Shem and Karah were in town. In the morning I had a nail appointment, so the kids stayed with Mom while I was there, and we had a great first small group! It was a good day for our family! On Thursday Shem and Karah came home, I took the kids grocery shopping in the morning and I did some running around in the afternoon! In the evening, we went to see everyone at Mom and Dad's! It was so great to spend time with each other again and seeing Baby Hazel was definitely a highlight for all of us! Amelia especially - she is totally smitten!
It was wedding weekend, so Amelia and I went to rehearsal on Friday. She was a great little travel buddy! We had Applebee's for supper, had a good rehearsal and then headed back home. William and Jonathan had a fantastic time mowing and going out to supper themselves! We stopped and got some milkshakes on the way home, which made Amelia's day.
Wedding day on Saturday was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect, Nate and Jordan were beautiful and Amelia and Case were just the cutest things in the world. I was so proud of them! Amelia and William both had a great time at the reception, it was hard to get them to leave, but they kept themselves awake the whole way home and had a grand old time! Sunday was another day of family time, we had pizza and enjoyed some time together chatting and relaxing. We took some hard core naps too!
Week 13: October 7th - 13th
We hung out Monday evening too! Amelia decided to skip gymnastics and spend more time with Hazel. They are so precious. She just loves her baby cousin and will spend as much time with her as she can playing on the floor, swinging on the porch, anything Hazel is doing she wants to be there! Tuesday was a normal day for me, the kids went out to breakfast with Nana and Papa and the Tennesseans before they headed out.
On Wednesday we had small group again, steak fried rice for supper and cracker dip for snack. Thursday was another beautiful day, it was honestly just a gorgeous week, we went on walks almost every day. We went for a quick library visit and then we dug potatoes in the evening to get them out of the ground so we can eat them here the next few months!
It was my working weekend, so Jonathan and the kids spent a lot of time outside. They got the mowing done and the popcorn harvested. I had a pretty good weekend, we were super busy but we had a good time through it! I had a meeting after church on Sunday, took a nap, and then went over for supper at Mom and Dad's. It was a good evening we hadn't seen them much through the week so it was good to catch up and the kids got a little bit of a Nana and Papa fix!
We have really been enjoying the beautiful fall days we have been having here recently. It has been a lot of fun going on walks and playing outside. I hope you all have been enjoying the lovely weather too! Have to enjoy it while we can!
Love you all! Have a great few weeks!
Love,
Jonathan, Allison, Amelia and William
