Year 5, Weeks 30-32:

Hello! We are back probably for a very short post here, it's been a heck of a month and so we don't have a lot to chat about, it's been more challenging than it's been good.

Week 30: February 5th - 11th

We went out for a date night on Monday night to Pondi's, it was a ton of fun, we enjoyed dinner and had great conversation! That morning we went to the Rich's for a play date and to meet baby Rosie, which was so much fun. William's skin got really bad, but we made it through and got him all treated in the next few days. Since we needed some food in the fridge, I still made some soup and seafood nachos, which was helpful the next few days.

I was at work on Tuesday, so that was a normal day around here. Wednesday was our first small group and we had a great time. Our group is really awesome and we enjoyed all our time with them. As an added benefit - our tub was delivered and we are so excited to get it installed...though a few months out from that reality. Thursday Jonathan had a visit to ONU for a career fair, I made chicken enchiladas and we had NAET in the morning. Amelia was super well behaved! She doesn't usually come with me, but she did a really good job at staying away from William, which is one of the most difficult things for her. She loves to love on her baby brother!

I worked on Friday, then we had leftovers and spent the evening together. Jonathan had to go to the farm on Saturday morning, then we visited Mom. On his way home, Jonathan stopped to pick up the shower but it didn't fit in our car, so we met Mom and Dad up in Alliance after we did some shopping and grabbed some Texas Roadhouse. It was a pretty bad experience, but we had fun anyway!

Sunday was where the insanity started. It was the day of the superbowl and we had plans with Mom and Dad, but a family emergency kept them away and it turned out to be a good thing because Amelia got really sick that afternoon, started with a pretty high fever.

Week 31: February 12th - 18th

Amelia's fever continued through Tuesday and then was just gone. She had no other symptoms, none of the rest of us had any problems. It was super strange. Jonathan had to take the day off on Tuesday to take care of the babies, he had to take her to the doctor because they wanted to see her. He also took them to the library quick since it wasn't story time day because I knew I wouldn't want to take her the next day.

Thankfully she was feeling much better on Wednesday, so the Henmans came to visit us in the afternoon and it was just what my little ones needed! I had already canceled the babysitter for small group so the babies went to hang out with Mom and Dad for the evening. They had a great time, we went and snagged some supper real quick and then came back for small group. It was the perfect Valentine's Day! We had so much fun.

The kids had a doctor's appointment on Thursday just as a check up and they were both good as gold! Healthy babies, we are very thankful for that. I took them grocery shopping in the evening while Jonathan was up at the farm, then we snagged some supper on the way home and had our own little picnic! It was so much fun and I loved having some special time with them.

Friday was a lot of prep work, I made chili and prepped for the weekend. It was a rough weekend which lead to a rough week which is why Week 32 is really not that interesting.

Week 32: February 19th - 25th

Really not worth talking about, lots of home time, very under the weather and just fighting to keep ourselves above water physically, mentally and emotionally. We are so thankful for God's goodness. He surrounded us with an awesome family to rely on and they have been the reason we are doing as well as we are right now. Additionally, we have been surrounded by some trusted friends who have loved on us and kept us above water too. Lots of growth and recovery and we are thankful for all of that.

Amelia did have her first dentist appointment which went super well! I was so proud of her. It was such a reminder of how big she is getting and how mature. We had a great time together and she let them get the whole cleaning done!

I went back to work for the weekend and it was a very rough weekend indeed. It was long, I was short handed but it went well for what it was! Jonathan had a great weekend with the babies and we have both been very thankful for the two of them. They have been such a light. Thankfully, they are staying pretty healthy and we are praying that continues! It's been a long winter, but we are hoping that it will start looking up here shortly!

I hope everyone else has been enjoying the hints of spring we have been getting and is staying healthy with all of the changes in weather. I think we could all do without that! Love you all!

Love,

Jonathan, Allison, Amelia and William
