Well, I'm a little late on this, but here were are! For some reason, being off for 6 days still doesn't always allow for all the things I want done to get done.
Week 41: April 24th - April 30th
Monday we took William to dermatology. Amelia, William and I made the trek to Akron together and she was a real trooper! The trip went amazingly well, and I was super worried about it. William got a few different creams and ointments and his skin has been a lot better recently. We are so thankful for that!
Meme had a pretty big day on Tuesday - she pooped on the potty for the first time - so at this point we have had two of each on the potty and are just waiting for her to decide she doesn't like a dirty diaper, which she has not decided yet. It was a fairly eventful, she was upset, but when she called me she was excited to be eating ice cream!
Wednesday was normal, we had small group, library and Yoder's, pretty average day! On Thursday we had a few things to do...Jonathan was on a visit in the morning, we had beef bourguignon for dinner, Amelia was feeling a little feisty, which makes the day feel 4 times longer than it actually is, so we went to see Nana and Papa while Jonathan was at band in the evening. Sometimes that's the best option! It was my long weekend, so I was gone a lot, but we had a good weekend.
Jonathan went to an auction on Saturday, we had pancakes and pork tacos. Sunday everyone else went to church, I worked and picked up some food, so we watched some Clifford and ate on the couch. Amelia took about an hour to eat, but she ate all six chicken nuggets and most of her french fries...it was a good day!
Week 42: May 1st - 7th
We got a visit from my Mom's cousin and her husband on Monday. They do home renovations and he does a lot of woodworking, so it was fun to talk to them about some of our ideas. We enjoyed our evening with them.
Tuesday was normal, Wednesday was a lot off fun though! Our plans went south, so we put together some different plans! We went downtown and did some shopping, then met with Faith and Austin for dinner at Que Pasa! Amelia ate as many chips and salsa as she could since we were distracted in conversation.
On Thursday William and I had therapy. Jonathan was in Ravenna for a lot of the day, then he made some stroganoff for him and Amelia. Friday was my short Friday, so I had work, then we had leftovers. It was a long day for me. Jonathan put our flag up, then we worked outside in the evening in shifts so that we could each get some things done.
Saturday was a beautiful day, so Jonathan stayed with William while Amelia and I went to Motts' for our plants and stopped to get a gift for Emrie as well. I got the plants in the ground while the kids napped and Jonathan mowed. In the evening, we went to Emrie's birthday party, which was a blast. It was Amelia's first birthday party for friends, which was a lot of fun. She was a little more interested in the sidewalk than she was playing with kids, but it was a lot of fun for us!
Sunday was William's baby dedication, then we spent the rest of the afternoon with the Landis family. We made lunch, then hung out for a little later. It was a great day, then we went to see Mom and Dad in the evening for pizza. Amelia and William got to spend a lot of time with family, which is always sweet.
Week 43: May 8th - 14th
Monday and Tuesday were both long days for me. Pam came to stay with the babies and Jonathan worked on the mower in the evening. The two long days were pretty extra long for me, but it just made coming home and getting to stay home for a few days even better.
On Wednesday we had a lot of doctor visits. Jonathan went in the morning for a sore throat and I went later in the morning for my ears. It was our last small group, so we enjoyed spending some time with our friends before the summer came up. Amelia and I did some errand running in the afternoon, it was a great day.
Thursday, William and I had therapy and Jonathan had a work interview in the evening. While he was gone, Mom, the kids and I went to visit Grandma Kate! It was so much fun taking her up to the farm.
We planted the garden on Friday, then Saturday was super eventful. Amelia threw up while we were eating pancakes then wouldn't stop messing with her ear, so I took her to the doctor's office and she had strep and and an ear infection. Thankfully, she felt better really quickly! Jonathan was also pretty sick, so I went grocery shopping and picked dinner up for us in the afternoon. There was a lot of laundry that needed done, so throughout the day I was working on that too!
Sunday was Mother's day, so that was a lot of fun! Amelia sat in church with me because she hadn't been on antibiotics for 24 hours yet. It was actually super sweet. In the evening we went shopping, then got Arby's for dinner. The kids got me a mug, which is super cute and has both of them on it!
Week 44: May 15th - 21st
Monday the 15th was a busy day. I did a lot of running, had a friend visit in the morning and got a lot done around the house. We had sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner, worked in the garden and watered the garden; it was super productive! Tuesday was a lot too! I was at work, Jonathan went out to Celina and Amelia got to go to her first softball game with Nana and Papa!
It was a special Wednesday for us. We went to the library after William's doctor's appointment. Amelia missed storytime, but we had a good time together picking out books. The Rhodes came to visit in the evening, which was a blast. Amelia was excited to have them at her house and we enjoyed hanging out with them.
On Thursday we got to facetime with Uncle Shem in the afternoon while Amelia and I made cookies. We had a super productive evening as a family. Hung Amelia's picture, finished the swing set and spent a lot of time together as a family. Unfortunately, William also started with croup on Thursday evening, so that was unfortunate. He fought that through the weekend, which put a damper on it.
I worked the weekend and Jonathan was home with the kids. We all had pretty good evening, just battled William's croup in the evenings. The weekends I work are a little challenging, but we enjoy our Saturday and Sunday evenings together and I always enjoy coming home to my little family. They are amazing!
Hopefully everyone is loving this beautiful weather we have been gifted! I know we could use a little bit of rain here, but otherwise it has been about perfect!
We love you all!
Love,
Jonathan, Allison, Amelia and William
