Year 3, Weeks 48-50:

Hello there! We are back again. I am quite happy with the every three week plan, it actually gives me a little bit more time and makes me more excited to write. It feels like it has been a very long time though!

Week 48: June 14-20
Accidentally matching!

So, this was the week Amelia started rocking! She figured out how to get on her hands and knees and quickly came to the conclusion that she should probably be moving.

Wednesday was a great day, as usual. Dad, Amelia and I went and picked strawberries - the picking was beautiful! We got some grocery shopping done, did dishes, watched crime scene kitchen and got the strawberries all put up! For dinner, we had cheeseburgers and potato planks - it was a perfect summer evening!
Friday was a long weekend for me. I had a doctor's appointment in the morning, Jonathan mowed in the evening, he studied a little bit and we had Classic for dinner! I also got some shopping done while Amelia was with Granny!

On Saturday evening Jonathan played for church, we had BLTs and mac and cheese, took a trip to TSC and had some good family time. Sunday was Father's day, so we went to the Landis' for the day, had brisket and mashed potatoes for dinner, did laundry and reviewed our week. It was Jonathan's first Father's day with Amelia on the outside, so we got him a new watch and a platter for grilling.

Week 49: June 21-27
Pam watched Amelia on Monday while I was at work, it was the start of a really long day. We had brisket and mashed potatoes for dinner and relaxed for the evening. While I was at work on Tuesday, Jonathan talked to the gentleman who used to rent our barn and set up a meeting with him!

On Wednesday, Mom came over and helped get wallpaper off of our bathroom walls! I gardened, the Landis' visited with family from out of town, so it was fun to introduce her to Jonathan's Aunt Marilyn. Afterward we had yummy food, got laundry done and watched Crime Scene Kitchen! Mom came over on Thursday to work on wallpaper and then picked Amelia up near the end of the day! Since it was a weekend that I worked it was pretty quiet. Jonathan did some mowing, he got a haircut, came to see me and grocery shop at DDM then had his meeting with the men about the barn. It was a good meeting and he is excited about the possibility of them using our space! We can't wait to see where it leads. Other than that, he worked on a few things around the house and studied.

Week 50: June 28-July 4

After my long week, we come up on Jonathan's trip to Celina...so Amelia and I had a girls' day! We went grocery shopping with my mom, stopped at the farm and had a great day. Jonathan had a good day at work, then studied and hung out with us when we got home for the evening over video chat. We don't like being away from each other, but have figured out a way to make it functional for our family!

On Tuesday Mom came and finished the wallpaper removal, then went to get Amelia. Jonathan got home a little late, but she hung in there really well! It was a hot day, so Amelia got to go swimming for a little bit with Faith...which was adorable! After a long day at work, I spent Wednesday trying to get our garden under control...it was very bad. The cilantro was able to be harvested, so I harvested and preserved that, made beans for Amelia, cowboy chicken for dinner, ice cream for supper and then we watched a show in the evening!

Thursday was Phil's birthday at work, so we had a big celebration that was a ton of fun...he was quite surprised! Amelia and Jonathan went to band since Mom was busy and I had a few minutes at home alone! Over the weekend we had game night at the Bandy's and french onion swiss steak for dinner. On Saturday we went blueberry picking with the Landis', had church and Jonathan mowed the lawn.

Our fourth of July wasn't terribly exciting. We went shopping, relaxed, napped, did laundry, put blueberries up and grilled both burgers and sausage links...it was a fantastic way to celebrate Amelia's first Independence day...which seems more important this year than it has before! It was a fantastic weekend and we got a lot of things done that needed it.

Not a fan of peas...

REALLY doesn't like peas!

I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather! We love you!

Love,

Alli, Jonathan and Amelia
