Year 3, Weeks 45-47: Flowers, Auction and 5 Months of Amelia!

Hello! I am a little late...but I will definitely own it. Last week was a bit crazy and this might end up becoming an every 3 week situation so it fits into my schedule better, but we will see what happens!

Week 45: May 24-30

A double 13 week is a little rough for me, but it ends up working! I get quite exhausted after being gone 2 days in a row and I definitely miss my little family. Jonathan and Amelia have a lot of quality time while I am gone though and I know that she loves being with him in the evening and with Faith during the day. On Monday he brought her in to say hi, so that was fun! We also started cereal Monday morning...she was not a fan. Tuesday she didn't like it either, but it was entertaining! They stayed at home on Tuesday, paid some bills and had Daddy-Daughter time.

Wednesday I was home, so that was wonderful! We had game night at Mom and Dad's as a last hurrah for Shem, I got a few things done around the house and made some yummy food for leftovers later! Thursday was normal, Jonathan had band, I went to see the garden, which was starting to pop up, and we just enjoyed time together!

On Friday I had to do some running around, so I went to the library, grocery shopping, DDM and then we went to Roadhouse for dinner with my family. It was great to spend some time together before Shem left!

Saturday Jonathan played at church, so we had that, I prepped food, they moved Shem's truck in the morning, we worked in the garden, had waffles, it was just a hodge-podge day full of things that needed to be done! Sunday was another crazy day. We went up to Cleveland to see Jonathan's family, which was rough on Amelia, but she was incredible! Waffles in the morning, then we left, went to Old Navy and got there at 11. We went on a picnic, walked by the beach, then came home for leftovers and went to say bye to Shem. That was tough for all of us...but we did get ice cream at the KDB to soften the blow!

Week 46: May 31 - June 6

Monday was Memorial Day, which was my holiday to work this year. So while I was gone Jonathan and Dad worked on the milkhouse while Amelia hung out with Mom! Jonathan was so excited to stop the rain from running through it and to get it cleaned out. It looks much nicer in there and they even found a few cool treasures! I only worked until 6, so we had Dickerhoof specials for dinner and relaxed for the rest of the evening. It was the start of my long week which is always a bit of a challenge, so we enjoy our evening together.

Tuesday was a long day for me, so Amelia was at Faith's, then hung out with Jonathan in the evening. Amelia was rolling a lot, which was super fun for him...and an added challenge! I got to see Amelia rolling like crazy on Wednesday while I was home with her. It was a bit of a rainy day, but we went to an auction anyway! We all enjoyed it a lot. It was the first "no masks" day...which was amazing. It was so refreshing to be in a big group of people without masks! We didn't get anything...we should have...but we didn't, a little out of practice I guess! After the auction we went to Que Pasa with my parents, so that was a great time with them.

My Thursday was normal...but Jonathan's was a bit crazy! Our car was in getting an oil change, so he and Mom had to coordinate and exchange cars and pick each other up and Amelia up and it was a big crazy time that I missed out on...thankfully. I just came home, hung out with the baby and waited for Jonathan to get back!

It was my weekend to work, so Jonathan and Amelia had a lot of quality time together! Amelia hung out with Papa for a little while in the morning until Miss Faith could get her, so that was fun for them! Jonathan got to go on site at Hillsdale - his first big project of his own! He really enjoyed seeing the site and getting a feel for what it will look like there. From the photos, it looks like the view is going to be gorgeous!

They came to visit me on Friday night since I wouldn't be able to see her a lot over the weekend, so that made my day! Saturdays and Sundays are short days, so I get to leave at 6...but it still doesn't feel like enough time with my baby! Jonathan did some gardening and outside work on Saturday as well as some studying. On Sunday he studied more and moved more dirt. Before I left for work we went and weeded the garden, which I really enjoyed! Then afterward we went and looked at the flowers...and there were a ton! We had peonies and some yellow ones and some purple ones! Jonathan made pork chops and foil potatoes for dinner!

Week 47: June 7-13

Of course...the night before Jonathan left for Celina...Amelia decided to get up at 2 and proceeded to stay up for an hour and a half until both of us were in tears and Jonathan had to step in. So we all got very little sleep. Thankfully, Jonathan's drive went well and we had a good day shopping, going to the library and hanging out with Mom and the Mucks! Amelia and I went to see my parents in the evening and Jonathan did some studying while he was out there. He came home Tuesday while I was at work and brought home some tables they are getting rid of in their efforts to clean out the office...so now we have some big, heavy, drafting tables at our house!

Wednesday was a great day at home as a family. Jonathan went on a trip to True Value and got some studying done after work, I made stuffed shells, got a few things done around the house and then Jonathan and I enjoyed some time chatting and walking the property in the evening! It is so beautiful out there and we enjoy it quite a bit. We are so thankful to be where we are.

On Thursday I came home and Dad was hanging out with Amelia again! She was rolling all over the place, so he was having a lot of fun with that little challenge! When Jonathan came home from band we relaxed and watched a show!

I had a short day at work on Friday, so I got to come home at 6. The Landis' came over, so I picked up pizza and we had a good evening together! After Amelia went to bed we played Bocce Ball and sat and talked for awhile! We were both exhausted, so we went to bed as soon as we could. However, it was not to be...Amelia woke up at midnight and I was made aware of how much pain I was in, which ended up with us going to the hospital with my fourth round of mastitis. Thankfully, they gave me antibiotics...unfortunately, the clog stayed around for the entirety of the weekend. So that was an added complication. I took a nice, long nap on Saturday, we had pancakes, Jonathan mowed, we got ice cream and watched a show after church. It was a good day!

On Sunday we had pancakes again...a different kind...they were delicious! We did a ton of gardening, planting, moving, weeding, it was a lot of work, but our garden is finally done! Jonathan called and talked to Dillon in the afternoon while I made Mexican Delight for leftovers. We ended up going over to Mom and Dad's for pizza and to see Grandma and Grandpa. I did some meal prep so we were all prepared for the next week. We loved the family time and Amelia loves getting all of the attention. She got a ton this weekend!

It has been a good week here so far and I will probably not be writing again next week...who knows when I will be back! We are trying to enjoy our summer, so it could be a little inconsistent!

We love you all!

Love,

Alli, Jonathan and Amelia

Year 3, Weeks 43 and 44:

*Editors note: The editor was late in reviewing so take that into account while reading.

We are back! Already, I know, crazy, but here we are! I am trying to keep it a little bit less overwhelming, so two weeks it is! Not a ton to report, but I will be sure to share pictures, so that will make it worth it!

Week 43: May 10-16

Long week of work for me...six out of seven days! On Monday, Pam and Emily came to watch Amelia while I was at work. It was a short day, so I got to come home at six! Amelia loves her Aunt Emily, Jonathan said she just kept giggling at her! He loved having her here and being able to see her all day.

Exhuasted helping Daddy!

Tuesday was another long day, but Amelia got to go back to Faith's house which is always good. Faith is just such a blessing for us and for Amelia. She is incredible, abides by the schedule, loves Amelia so much, we just couldn't ask for someone better to watch our baby girl. While I was gone, Jonathan studied, got gas and milk and took Amelia on a trip to the shed so he could do some work down there!

Ice Cream trip!

Wednesday I got some things done around the house, went to Mom and Dad's for dinner and then went to the KDB for ice cream - first time for Shem in 9 years! It was so much fun. Abby was there, Amelia got loved on and we had a great family night. We dropped a few things off at the post office and the day just flew by, like most Wednesdays do!

Thursday was normal, it was Amelia's 4 month birthday, so we took some pictures that evening. I worked the weekend, so it was a long time without my family, but I loved spending my evenings with them! Aunt Chery watched Amelia while Jonathan was at church for band, then I met them there. He cleaned for me in the morning, then we picked up McDonalds for dinner! Sunday I finally got to just relax with the family! Jonathan went shopping, washed the car and started our new schedule with Amelia. When I got home, I organized milk, went out to see the bees and the Buckeye tree, then we facetimed with the Landis'.

Week 44: May 17-23

Grocery helper!

Monday was another trip for Jonathan, so he was out in Celina while I took her to the 4 month doctor's appointment. The shots went a lot better this time than they did last time, so I was quite thankful for that! We hung out with Mom and Dad for dinner and everyone had pizza. Jonathan picked Amelia up and she slept wonderfully for us! She is loving the new schedule.

Wednesday Dad tilled the garden and we planted parsley, basil, peppers and tomatoes, then Thursday was normal, Jonathan mowed a little bit after band.

Miss Amelia is scooching!

I worked a short day on Friday and we went to Mom and Dad's for her birthday, then Saturday and Sunday we finished planting the garden! We went to bed early on Saturday because we were so exhausted! Amelia had a bit of a rough weekend sleep wise, so we worked with her a lot. On Sunday, the Henmans came over for lunch and Jonathan and Keagan worked on the apartment a little bit trying to get the cupboards out! It is looking awesome in there! We opened up the barn for the first time, so that was a ton of fun, it was just such a beautiful day! IN the evening, we relaxed, watched the Pink Panther and had beef enchiladas for diner.

Overall, it has been a pretty normal, enjoyable 2 weeks! Can't wait to see what comes next this summer!

Love you all,

Alli, Jonathan and Amelia

Happy to go help Daddy in the garage!

She is stretching for everything right now...she loves the "L" on the box.

Holding her binky...sucking her thumb. She has definitely found the thumb and is becoming a little bit of a fan!

Garden all planted!
